Winter

Grady's swim class
PawPaw turned 89 Feb 1st! He is a goof ball and still teaches me words such as laconic.

Play date with Alexis and Brian

This winter has taken everything out of me, which is why I have not blogged in forever! We took Grady out to play in the snow a couple of times but he does not have proper water proof gloves and the snow was so deep he could hardly move in it. Needless to say we were not out there for very long. We are lucky in that we have a great hill to sled down right in our backyard so that was fun! Fun, until Daddy took Grady down and Diesel was in the way and everyone ended up with snow in their face.

For those who don't know, I am pregnant! We found out Christmas morning, it was the greatest gift of all :). I had taken the early pregnancy test and it had yet again told me no. I had been getting negative test results for the past six months. Anyhow it said no but then my monthly visitor was late. It was funny because I actually thought something else could be wrong other then me being pregnant because I was so used to the negative test result. When the line faintly told me Christmas morning that it was positive, I didn't really believe it! Similar to the first time, I still don't really believe it. However I am now nearing the end of my 1st trimester and starting to show a little so it's starting to sink in. The due date is September 5th, I guess my body only allows pregnancy during the month of November because Grady's due date was September 20th. Of course he arrived early on August 21st. It's nice that I get to wear the same maternity clothes since it is during the same months. To Shake things up, we are not finding out the gender this time around. The only differences so far in the two pregnancies has been, 1) I got waves of nausea this time, 2) I am way more moodier, and 3) I seem to be having sweet cravings. I didn't believe in cravings the first time because I did not really have any however the urge to eat sweets is overwhelming this time. I also like a glass of orange juice and sometimes I have to have it. When I get near the bake goods in the store it's a dangerous game. It takes everything I have to not buy cookies, cakes, cupcakes....etc. I think it's a girl! I will be neat for Grady to have a little brother or little sister so I will be happy either way.

Grady is all grown up! His first day of school was today, can you believe it?! He has just turned 18 months weighs 25 lbs and is 31 1/2 inches. I am very excited for him to socialize and learn things at the ECH. His vocab continues to expand and he is still finding a way to climb absolutely everything! It is really cute because he randomly chooses words to repeat. We will be having a conversation and he will pick a word to repeat out of it. It's really funny! Now is the time that we need to watch what we say for sure :).

Hope you have been enjoying this winter more then I have. I can't wait for March, it's my happy month! I may even become human again.

Congratulations! I am so excited for you. Having two is hard work but a lot of fun. I am excited for the two of mine to grow up together. My second pregnancy was totally different also...had nausea, sweet cravings, and was also way moodier. I think part of that is taking care of a little one while pregnant! Can't wait to find out what you have:)
