On Monday April 5th, we joined Mimi and Oliver downtown to watch the opening day parade. Again, we lucked out with perfect weather conditions. It was fun to watch Grady's expressions during the parade. He just had this look of, "What in the world is this?!" The last parade I took him to was on the Fourth of July and he was a little young yet to fully take it all in. This time however it was really fun to watch him absorb all that was going on. His favorite was the drums of course, but he is also fascinated by sirens. At home every time he hears an ambulance or fire truck rushing down Delta, he runs over to the window and says, "siren, fire truck?" Going to the parade was a great way to spend the morning and I especially loved getting to spend some time with Mimi and Oliver. Grady immediately asked for, "Olivur" when we got dropped off at home. More play dates with Mimi and Oliver please!
