March

Grady has been on Spring break the past couple of weeks so we have been keeping quite busy. He goes back to school tomorrow. Here is an update of some of things we have been doing during the month of March. I love March and am sad to see it go. It always just flies by!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! We celebrated by cooking an Irish meal. We had Pan Hagerty (delicious) and I made soda bread (failed experiment) for the first time. I substituted green soda for green beer and we ended the meal with cupcakes...of course!
Happy 1st Birthday to Brian Ayvazian! Grady had a blast helping Brian celebrate his birthday. There was an inflatable ball pit, yummy food, cake, and a cut out! According to my standards, a party reaches A+ status when a cut out is involved! Thanks for a great party Ayvazians!

Happy birthday to me! I turned 32 on March 21st...yikes. We went out to Boca the night before my Bday to celebrate. We indulged in the 7 course tasting menu, it did not fail at pleasing our taste buds. On my actual birthday which was a Sunday we did absolutely nothing, and it was wonderful! We started out with a pancake breakfast and ended with take out brought over by my Grandfather and Uncle. Grady was taking turns sitting with everyone and sharing his book with them. It was really cute! He also loves to wear Daddy's slippers around the house, funny. We topped off the evening with homemade cupcakes :) What a perfect ending to a perfect day!

I did not realize Johnny's Toys was still in existence! On a rainy day I took Grady to Totter's Ottersville located inside Johnny's Toys. There was so much fun stuff for Grady to do there, he had a great time! There was a water table, train tables, animal room, toddler room, story room, mail room, arts and crafts room, and out front there is a big ball pit and slides. It was just the kind of fun we were looking for on a day better spent indoors.

*Have you ever seen a kid taking a ride on a Gorilla so seriously? Oh Grady how I love you so!

We met up with friends and took our first trip to the zoo this season. I barely took pics and am relying on friend Mimi to send me the ones she got, however she is slacking, heh. I caught a glimpse of my future by witnessing one friend struggle with a newborn and a toddler. I have decided that I don't think I will be taking many big outings by myself with a baby and a tot. I will need Hubby's, Oggie's, or Julie's assistance I think! Kudos to Betsy she did a wonderful job! It did not look easy. We enjoyed visiting with the Gorillas on this particular trip. They even spoke to us, which was actually pretty frightening. Grady and friend Ollie took turns sitting on the Gorilla statue, so cute! Grady was petting the statue :). Forgot to visit Nikki the Rhino! Darn it, I really would like to meet the artist of the art work that is displayed in our house. Oh well, we will be back! This was just the first trips of many, I am sure.
